SEWER SCOPE INSPECTION

Sewer scope inspections involve inserting a flexible small-sized special camera through the drainpipe “clean out” from where it enters into the sewer line and going through the line until reaching the street mainline. The inspector will inspect the sewer line for up to 100 feet for any issues such as cracks, blockages, leaks, broken pipes, root intrusion, offset or detached joints, and any other related sewer line issues. Since buyers are responsible for the lateral line from the house to the street main, they should obtain a lateral sewer inspection if the home in question is more than 20 years old. The line might be fairly new compared to homes built before 1950, but it’s fairly common for tree roots to clog it up over 20 years or so.

Our trained and professional inspectors use a modern flexible borescope camera that feeds images and video to a monitor running through your sewer lateral line from the home to the street for up to 100 feet to reach the MAIN to examine the underground pipes for flaws and serious problems.
